Pros:
1. The instructions where easy to read.
2. Can completed with only one person.
3. Simple style and can be put in any small room.

Cons:
1. The flush mount base is pretty big.
2. Blub not inclded.
3. There only one blub insert and it’s a candle oprea bulb. So if you buy the highest output (60w), it really doesn’t light up the the room.

Overall:
I like the fan. It’s in my Florida Room, where it really doesn’t need that much during the day, and the desk has it’s own lamp. It has decent airflow, and it’s extremly quite. I would reconmend for anyone wanting a ceiling fan in a room smaller then 15×15.

On a budget and gave this fan a try.

Stuff not mentioned in description:
The maple color on one side of the blades is a very light tone. The included pull chains could be longer than 3 inches. The ends of the pull chains are black in color and the chains look enough like brushed nickel I guess. The decorative piece that covers motor and mounting bracket is indeed a brushed nickel or good look alike. The metal pieces that hold the fan blades to the motor are painted to look like brushed nickel so be careful when bolting on the blades and use the cardboard cutouts that go between the blade and the bracket. The included screws for attaching the fan blades to the brackets are chrome, not brushed nickel finish like I would have thought.

INSTALL:
Easy to install if you are replacing an existing ceiling fan with this one!

FEATURES:
The motor on this fan is pretty small so don’t expect to make a tornado in your room with this. It does a good job of moving air in my smaller bedroom.

ANNOYANCES:

Takes smaller candelabra style bulb, 60W maximum.

IT HUMS when running, but not super loudly or anything. I install the fan with no cover and no light kit and discovered the humming noise was from the motor itself, go figure! Maybe it will quiet down in a few days, like it says in the manual, but I’m not holding my breath (you can’t oil this fan, it’s sealed permanently).

The box was missing the 2 machine screws that secure the mounting bracket to the electrical box in the ceiling. I just used my existing ones leftover when I took down my old fan. One of the included nuts for attaching the fan blade to blade bracket had no threads. They did not include any extra nuts but there were extras of other pieces. This was the most frustrating aspect of my experience with this product.

I’m buying 2 more of these as they do look good and the price is right. If I wanted a silent fan I would’ve bought a hunter and paid a LOT more money and probably had to climb up and oil it every so often too.

I installed two fans and found the following:
1) Both fans have a loud “hum” noise when turned on. The hum from the fan can be heard from 30 feet away. The hum noise is there when the fan is operated on high, medium or low fan speeds.
2) Not much air movement with this fan even when it is on high.
3) The fans look great installed.

I purchased this fan because I needed a fan for a small room 12 x18. The fan was easy to install. . i was concern about the lighting from the reviews I read. . Lighting was not a problem I pop in an energy saving bulb lights up the room very well. . The fan is built well I really don;t see any problems with it. Very satisfy.
